Chhath Puja 2021

Chhath is an ancient Hindu Vedic festival historically native to the Indian subcontinent, more specifically, the Indian states of Bihar, eastern Uttar Pradesh and, Jharkhand and the Madhesh region of Nepal. The Chhath Puja is dedicated to the Solar deity (Surya) to thank him for bestowing the bounties of life on earth and to request the granting of certain wishes. This festival is observed by Biharis & Nepalese along with their diaspora.
Keeping in view the kids of our beloved institution Krishnagar Public School was also requested to celebrate it on 10th Nov, 2021 through various activities . The students of Class I to Class VIII actively participated and showed their interest . The main objective was to create awareness in
them about the soul feature of our country i.e., UNITY IN DIVERSITY. Due to present pandemic situation, the students were instructed through electronic media about the procedure to observe the day in a proper way. Students from classes 1 and 2 dressed up like the SUN and tell us how they help the Earth through a short video. Students from class 3 to 5 were told to help there mother/ grandmother or any other adult family member in preparation of there favourite festive treat. Write the *recipe* neatly and paste photos of there cooking activity. *Or* Make a video of there cooking activity. Classes 6 to 8, Celebrated the spirit of *Chhath* with there artistic expression. They may decorate there home, make an illustration of there take on the festivities, or simply put up a performance of song or dance to cherish the occasion. Take photos or videos of there activities. During the whole programme, the most important thing which was noticed was the determination and enthusiasm of the students with which they participated. All their works are very much presentable. But unfortunately, due to shortage of space, we are presenting herewith very few photographs and videos of their creativity. But, this is only the top of the iceberg. But we promise to represent all their creativity physically when the situation will be normal for our regular activity.
At the end, the students took oath to make the world beautiful with the theme “अनेकता मे एकता” and bring smile to the faces of all the living being over the earth. It was really a memorable day for all of us associated with Krishnagar Public School.
