“It took decades to come out of the after-effect of bombing”
“I shall write peace upon your wings, and you shall fly around the world so that children will no longer have to die this way.”
On August 6th, 1945, the United States of America dropped the world's first atomic bomb on Hiroshima in the Empire of Japan as a part of the ongoing World War II. The bomb, named 'Little boy', instantly killed 80000 people and went on to kill thousands due to radiation exposure.
Hiroshima Day commemorates the bombing attack on Hiroshima. The day aims to promote peace politics against the war and spreads awareness about the dangers of nuclear weapons and it’s after effects.
Remembering Sadako Sasaki and many more innocent children who lost their lives on this day, students of Krishnagar Public School, with a pledge in their heart to protect Mother Earth and its inhabitants, folded origami paper crane as a symbol of peace.
