Milk gives great nutrition to the mankind
India is the largest producer of milk. This day highlights the importance of milk in everyone's life. Milk is the food that is not only consumed by human beings but also by animals. It is celebrated on 26th November to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Verghese Kurien, the father of India’s White Revolution.
Milk is one of the healthiest food items in our daily life. From children to aged, all love drinking milk because it helps in keeping us healthy. The milk is enriched with nutrients such as calcium, protein, vitamin B2, iodine, potassium, etc.
Since many of us do not know the proper benefits of milk, this day is observed to create awareness about milk benefits.
Students of Pre-primary to Class II observed this day and took part in activities virtually. The made short video where they spoke on the benefits of milk and its products and why they love to drink milk.
