"Om Saraswatyei Vidhmahe Brahmaputriye Dhimahi Tanno Devi Prachodayat"
Saraswati Puja is a day dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, who is believed to confer knowledge, music and arts. Basant Panchami or Saraswati Puja is an important Hindu festival that marks the culmination of winter and the arrival of spring. The festival is observed with full respect and dignity by the students in most educational institutions.
To observe the day our students dressed traditionally - Girls wore yellow /white saree with red border and Boys wore kurta-Pajama and visited school with their family members to participate in the Puja. They entered the school premises maintaining strict COVID 19 protocols. They enjoyed delicious Prasad and bhog that was arranged by the School Management which was served maintaining proper hygiene. Next day the celebration came to an end with the immersion of the idol.
Several students could not be a part of the festival due to COVID-19 pandemic but they virtually attended. They made 'Chandmala' and many other decorative and accessory items for Goddess Saraswati, they also shared videos while performing puja, reciting mantras and shlokas at home, which made virtual celebration of Saraswati Puja more interesting, effective and enjoyable.
