Friendship Day 2021

Friendship day is celebrated every year on the 1^st Sunday of the month of August. This year also was not an exception. Despite of the odds brought in by the Corona Pandemic, we celebrated Friendship Day on 1^st of August, 2021 using virtual platform with a lot of fun and frolic. The students as small as that of Playgroup to Class VIII participated in various activities associated with this occasion of celebrating friendship.

The classes from Playgroup to Class VIII were divided into various groups and fun activities were allotted to each group as per the age of the children.

Group A (Playgroup - Nursery) students made a friendship day card for their best friend using their hand impression to create a pattern or design and made a video holding their card and giving a message their best friend.

Group B (Class KG - II) students made a friendship band and a video of them giving a message to their best friend showing him/ her their self - made friendship band.

Group C (Class 3 – 5) students shared a friendship band and a chocolate/ educational stationery like pencils, pens or notebooks with an underprivileged child in the neighbourhood or known circle.

 Group D (Class 6 – 8) prepared a snack which they used to often have or share with their friends during pre - pandemic time and made a video giving a sweet message to their friends holding the dish.

Children from all groups actively participated in the given activities and it seemed that they thoroughly enjoyed the celebration of Friendship Day.
