International Literacy Day takes place on the 8th of September every year to raise awareness and concern for literacy problems that exist within our local and global communities. Since 1967, International Literacy Day celebrations have taken place annually around the world to remind the public about the importance of literacy as a matter of dignity and human rights, and to advance the literary agenda towards a more literal and sustainable society. This year International Literacy Day has been celebrated under the theme “ Literacy for a human-centred recovery: Narrowing the digital divide.” This year Our Krishnagar Public School has celebrated International Literacy Day on virtual platform . Students from class I-XII have participated in different activities to remind the importance of literacy for individuals, communities , societies and the need for intensified efforts towards more literal societies.

ð—–ð—¹ð—®ð˜€ð˜€ð—²ð˜€ ðŸ ð˜ð—¼ ðŸ®- Make a video on importance of International Literacy Day or reciting a poem.
ð—–ð—¹ð—®ð˜€ð˜€ð—²ð˜€ 🯠ð˜ð—¼ðŸ±- Drawing picture related to the importance of books.
ð—–ð—¹ð—®ð˜€ð˜€ð—²ð˜€ 🲠ð˜ð—¼ 🴠- Making art work on Heroes of Literacy who contributed to world wide literacy/who made a difference in educational history.
ð—–ð—¹ð—®ð˜€ð˜€ð—²ð˜€ 🵠ð˜ð—¼ ðŸðŸ¬- This year's theme is narrowing the digital divide. Students must teach their grandparents or seniors at home how to work on a digital device.
