Guru Nanak Jayanti 2021

Every year, on the day of Kartik Poornima which is the fifteenth lunar day in the month of Kartik according to the Hindu calendar, Guru Nanak Jayanti, also known as Gurupurab  is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev. Shri Guru Nanak Dev is believed to be a Saint and a mystic. He has been a medium for the world, enlightening his followers with deep knowledge of spirituality, morality, humanity, devotion and truth. This is why the auspicious festival which is the most important festival of the followers of the religion of Sikhism is also called ‘Prakash Utsav’. So this year our students ( VI- VIII ) celebrated this memorable day from their home due to the present pandemic stranded situation in order to cherish the values taught by Shri Guru Nanak .

This day was celebrated with the great participation of our students. Our students have participated in the virtual programme to express their devotion towards Shri Guru Nanak.

• The students in classes VI,VII and VIII have delivered  a speech related to Guru Purnima and made a video of the same.
• Few students in classes VI,VII and VIII have made  card for their favourite teacher with few lines on how that teacher has motivated them and then they have sent pdf.

After collecting all the contribution from our little laureates, we made a video.

The most appreciable factor is that, this year also on the occasion of Guru Purnima we have received a great contribution from students in spite of facing many challenges due to present pandemic stranded situation.
