Poila Baisakh or Bangla Naboborsho is the first day of Bengali calendar. People wear new clothes and start the day by praying at the temple for a prosperous year. Like every year this year also the festival is celebrated on April 15 in West Bengal, Assam and Tripura.
After two years, the students of Krishnagar Public School celebrated this day by performing some activities in school. The students had completed their activities enthusiastically and enjoyed very much.
The students from KG to Class 2 welcomed the New Year with their painting on the theme of Naboborsho.
The students from Class 3 to Class 5 made greeting cards and wished “Subho Naboborsho” to their Class teachers. That day they came with traditional attires.
The students from Class 6 to Class 9 did their Barshobaron with recitation, singing, etc.
The students from Class 9 to Class 12 delivered speech on the “Importance of Bengali New years Day” and conveyed their thinking about New years Day nicely. It is a great feelings that our next generation is also bearing the lamp of our tradition.
