World Doctor's Day 2022

    National Doctors' Day is celebrated on 1st July every year in India. When there is pandemic situation doctors are always come first to fight against it for the general population, there are so many pandemic situation like COVID-19, Plague, Flu, AIDS, Ebola etc where doctors were the front liner for public safety and their health. In India, National Doctors’ Day was first observed on 1st July, 1991 in the honour of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, to pay tribute to his contributions in health domain. 1st July happens to be his death and birth anniversary that coincides on the same date.

    Krishnagar Public School celebrated National Doctor’s Day to pay tribute to all medical practitioners as this year is special for their ethical and relentless service to the humanity. The celebration was an attempt to emphasize on the value of doctors in our lives and to express our gratitude towards them. Doctors are the real heroes fighting at the forefront to save millions of lives around the globe in the present pandemic situation.

    Students of Pre-primary students were involved in various activities. Students of Playgroup and Nursery dressed up like doctor and nurse. They participated in short role play. Some students acted like doctor and some acted like patient. They enjoyed a lot to participate in role play. Students of KG dressed up like doctor and nurse and they delivered a short speech on the importance and contribution of doctors in our lives. Parents who are medical practitioners shared their thoughts on this occasion to enlighted and motivate the young students. Students and teachers showed their gratitude towards the doctors by their speeches and role play.

    The activities enhanced the understanding, vocabulary, speaking skills and also inculcated moral values in them. Children actively participated in the celebration and thanked all the medical practitioners who are working tirelessly for the humanity.
