"If death strikes before I prove my blood, I swear I'll kill death"
- Lieutenant Manoj Kumar Pandey
Kargil Diwas is celebrated to rekindle the pride and valour of the soldiers who were part of Operation Vijay. The day is significant in history as it marks the victory of Indian soldiers in capturing the mountain heights that were occupied by the Pakistani army on 26th July 1999.
To commemorate the day, some pictures were drawn by the students of classes III to V, of Krishnagar Public School, on the themes of “An Indian soldier raising the Tricolour depicting India’s victory in the Kargil War” and “Amar Jawan Jyoti”
Patriotism is a social value; the feeling of patriotism is to be inculcated at level to make sure that student becomes a responsible citizen of the nation. Students paid their homage to the soldier through their art works.
