The World Nature Conservation Day serves as a reminder to preserve our natural resources and it is celebrated on 28th of July every year. It is observed to raise awareness about a healthy environment as the premise of a stable and healthy society. Every human being is responsible for the conservation of nature and each individual must participate in protecting the environment.
To take the initiation further, we, the KPS family, had planned to celebrate Nature Conservation Day on Friday, 28th of July, 2023.
Like every other year, this day was aesthetically celebrated by the students of Krishnagar Public School. The main aim of the event was to increase awareness among the students about the importance of conserving our nature and the need to protect it. A joint venture can always make any event successful just like the green day where the teachers and students of Krishnagar Public School, starting from Class PG to KG and III to XI, collaboratively made the day a memorable one. An ambience of a beautiful event was created by distributing saplings, poster-making, demonstrations, essay writing, etc. Students of Class III to V were distributed saplings which they had to plant in their houses in school uniform & share the photographs with their respective class teachers. Our little buds wore green dresses to celebrate the green day. Class VIII students were involved in poster-making & demonstrating them in the class. Essay writing was organized for Class IX students and Class XI students were asked to make scientific models, daily-use items, house decorating materials, etc from waste materials as a sign of recycling wastes. With the proper guidance of the teachers, the students were able to participate in the event with much enthusiasm and also carried out the tasks assigned to them perfectly.
It is important to inculcate environment friendly habits within all of us and to start this initiative with these young minds is to make them habituated with these practices from the inception. This is the approach we should adopt to build a wealthier environment. A small step towards that wealthier environment from the fraternity of KPS was conducted to give a lesson not only to students of the school but to each and everyone.
