Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient rich cultural heritage and tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment. It brings about a harmony between man and nature and a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not only about exercise but also a way to discover the sense of oneness with oneself, the world and the nature. It can help in well-being by helping us in changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness. 21st June has been recognised as the International Day of Yoga by the United Nations General Assembly to acknowledge the contribution of Yoga as an activity the leads to physical, mental and spiritual harmony.
Our students who were already having Yoga sessions uring their Evening Co-scholastic Classes took this opportunity to showcase their yoga display. TheY made short videos of their Yoga display which were later compiled as one and posted on YouTube. (Please click on link to watch video: https://youtu.be/Wce2ftDiGuA)
Incidentally, Krishnagar Public School is also part of the FitIndia Movement being promoted by CBSE and the Indian Government. The students also participated in the 'My Life, My Yoga' Vlogging Competition and Online Quiz Competition on Yoga organized by CBSE.
