“At the dawn of the midnight hour when the world sleeps India rise to freedom”
Let’s salute our martyrs for the sacrifices they made.
India completed 73 years of Independence on 15th August, 2020, students of Krishnagar Public School participated actively and enthusiastically in various cultural programmes celebrated virtually to make the day memorable.
The tricolor flag “Tiranga” was hoisted by our Director Mr. Amitava Guha and Principal Dr. Sankar Prasad Dutta followed by the National Song “Bande Maataram”. Our Principal delivered a short inspiring speech and spoke on the importance of this day. He said as citizens of Free India and as teachers and facilitators we should teach our students to break the barriers of caste, religion, sex that still prevails in the rural part of our country
In order to ensure that every student, parent, teachers and other stakeholders are able to be a part of this experience, the program was shared live on the school official social media handle.

Pre-Nursery students dressed like our National Heroes. Classes I, II and III made tricolor flags and masks, classes IV to VI performed on patriotic songs, classes VII to XII spoke about our freedom fighters and also made some wonderful videos narrating the situation before and after India got its independence.
The most appreciable factor was that, this year the Independence Day celebration was not only dedicated to the freedom fighters but also to the Corona-fighters. Our students, paid tribute to the soldiers, martyrs, doctors, paramedical staffs, food and medicine suppliers, nurses, police department, nurses and other emergency workers who are continuing the fight against COVID-19 by providing self-denying services to the nation.
