National Cancer Awareness Day’ is observed to increase awareness about cancer prevention and early detection of the disease. National Cancer Awareness Day is observed on 7th November which coincides with the birth anniversary of the eminent scientist Madame Curie.
In India, nearly 1.1 million new cases are being reported annually. Two-third of cancer cases are diagnosed at an advanced stage reducing chances of survival. That is why it is needed to detect cancer as early as possible and for which awareness is required among common people mostly in the third world country like ours.
