WORLD SOIL DAY

“Be the Solution to the Soil Pollution”

World Soil Day is held annually on 5th December to draw our attention towards the importance of healthy soil and to advocate the sustainable management of soil resources. Soil plays an essential role in the growth of plants and in the survival of humankind.

Since there is a global increase in degradation of soil resources it is important that soil is celebrated every day of the year, to make sure that the future generations understand the gravity of this issue and make a positive impact through their own actions and behaviours.

To observe the World Soil Day, our students of classes III to VIII took active part virtually to support and spread awareness on the importance of healthy soil and steps to prevent erosion.

They planted saplings, made beautiful poster carrying messages and spoke about the importance of soil for food security and essential ecosystem functions.
