The greatness of humanity is not in being human, but in being humane.
October 2nd is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. This year marks the 151st birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. He is honoured for his huge contributions towards India’s Independence movement and his philosophies towards life.
Mahatma Gandhi summed up his philosophy of life with the words, “My Life is my Message”. His multifarious and dynamic personality was based on nothing but truth. Non – violence was another intrinsic element of this philosophy.
Gandhi not only contributed to Indian freedom struggle but he also fought to bring changes into the society. He fought against the pre-existing Indian caste system and worked towards the abolition of the inhumane treatment of untouchables.
To pay homage to the “Father of the Nation" students of Pre-primary section dressed as the Mahatma and recited few famous quotations on Non-Violence.
