It’s time to thank men for all the love and support.
On November 19 International Men’s Day celebrates the positive value that men bring to the world, their families and communities. It focuses on the need to value men and boys and help people who make practical improvements in their health and well-being.
This event is observed annually to create awareness about men's health and to promote gender equality. The day commemorates the contribution of men who positively influences the opposite gender and act as role models.
We need to do away with the notion that men don’t cry and rather should encourage our fathers, brothers and friends to express their emotions freely and talk about their feelings. We need to build a space where men can talk about what they are suffering from, without being judged.
Keeping the objective in mind students of class IX to XII participated in various activities to acknowledge the contribution of men in their lives. They made cards, arranged special gifts, prepared their favourite dish and made a short video that spoke about their male role models and their inspiring stories.
