Ever high is my Head
Army Day is celebrated on 15th January every year, in recognition of Field Marshal Kodandera M. Cariappa’s-then Lieutenant General taking over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army from General Francis Bucher, the last British Commander-in-Chief of India, on 15th January 1949. The day is celebrated in the form of parades and other military shows in the national capital of New Delhi as well as all over the country.
This year India celebrated its 73rd Indian Army Day. Army Day marks a day to salute the valiant soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect the country and its citizens. It is grand celebration of India’s military might and its unsung personnel.
With COVID pandemic raging on, our school paid tribute to the unsung soldiers on the virtual platform. Students from class 3 to 5 participated in various activities to celebrate this day with great zeal. Students of class 3 dressed as soldiers and saluted the brave hearts, students of class 4 made posters on Indian Army and students of class 5 paid their tribute in words by writing poems and paragraphs praising the heroes of the nation.
On Army Day, we salute the valiant men and women of the Indian Army who are committed to the safety of their countrymen. Thank you brave hearts for your sacrifice and commitment.
