“The vote is precious. It is the most powerful non-violent tool we have in a democratic society, and we must use it.”
The National Voters' Day is observed on 25th January every year since 2011 across the country to mark the foundation day of the Election Commission of India on this day in the year 1950.The main purpose of observing this day is to encourage, facilitate and maximize enrolment, especially for the new voters.
Voting rights enables people the right to question the government about issues and clarifications. It also provides a sense of freedom to express an opinion in major decision making for the benefit of the country in a democratic nation.
To observe this day student from class XI Humanities made beautiful paintings on the theme "Vote for all" and shared their views through essay writing on the topic “Life without Democracy".
“It's not enough to just want change ... You have to go and make a change by voting." was the message given by our students to the society.
