“Take risks in your life, if you win, you can lead! If you lose, you can guide!”
National Youth Day is observed on 12th January, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda - a "great Indian Youth Icon". In 1984 the Government of India declared this day as National Youth Day and since 1985 the event is celebrated every year.
To observe this occasion; students from Pre-Nursery to Class XII participated in various activities. They dressed up like Swamiji and quoted his sayings, some students performed Yogasana and meditated, some students painted a portrait of Swami Vivekananda also drew pictures on the topic - National Youth Day.
The students of secondary section spoke on the topic "I want to be Vivekananda". The senior secondary students watched a short film on National Youth Festival that was telecasted live on Lok Sabha TV as well as webcasted by NIC on 12th January and shared their feedback.
Swami Vivekananda's aspiration was to motivate the youth to an extent that they start voicing the changes they desire and ultimately accomplish them. In order to honor his vision and motivate youth to act on it, National Youth Day is celebrated across the country.
