“Martyrdom does not end something, it’s only a beginning.”
30th January is observed as Shaheed Diwas in memory of the Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi who was assassinated in Birla House in the year 1948 and 23rd March is observed as Martyr's Day to remember the sacrifice of three extraordinary freedom fighters of India namely Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar by the British. They also sacrificed their lives for the welfare of our nation but had chosen a different path from Mahatma Gandhi. They are the source of inspiration for the youth of India. At such a young age, they came forward and fought for the independence with bravery. So, to pay homage to these three revolutionaries Martyr's Day is also celebrated on 23rd March.
The Nation pays homage to the victims who fought for the freedom, glory, welfare and progress of India. With much respect our students from class VI to VIII, took part in various activities virtually like poster making, role play and power point presentation to observe the occasion.
