Filling Life with Colours of Joy
Holi is a time to reach out with the colors of joy. It is the time to love and forgive. It is the time to expresses the happiness of being loved and to be loved through colors.
It is carried out in remembrance of Holika and signifies the victory of good over evil. In some states like Odisha and West Bengal, Holi is known as Dol Jatra or Dol Purnima. Holi is celebrated on the full moon day in the month of Phalgun. It is also called the Spring Festival, as it marks the arrival of spring. With a start of new hopes and relationships, signified through the burst of colors everywhere. It commemorates the good harvests and the fertile land.
Our students of classes I to V enjoyed taking part in craft activities and made handmade paint splatter Holi cards, leaf printed Holi cards and Holi gift tags and beautiful paintings of Vrindavan depicting the story of naughty Krishna celebrating Holi with his gopis.
To observe the joyful festival of colours a short program was organized in school for Teachers and Staff by the Management whereby everyone greeted one another “Happy Holi” with tilak and sweets hoping for a successful New Academic Session 2021-2022 from 6th April 2021.
