26th March 2021, a day that will always be remembered with a feel of pride whereby Krishnagar Public School, Nadia was invited and warmly welcomed by Border Security Force (BSF) to visit Battalion 54 located at Shikharpur in the District of Nadia, West Bengal, to be a part of Maitree Football Exhibition Match between Indian BSF and BGB (Border Guard Bangladesh).

Several high ranking BSF officers were present including former Indian Football goalkeeper Sri. Bhaskar Ganguly.

The Maitree Cup began with the National Anthem of both the countries lead by BSF band followed by inaugural dance performance by students of Krishnagar Public School. Balloons were also released that carried the message of friendship between India and Bangladesh in the ocean wide blue sky.

The match was telecasted live on DD Bangla2 and was display on a giant screen at Murshidabad and in and around several places of Nadia District.

India won the Maitree Cup by 2 goals to Bangladesh. Both the teams were felicitated by medals and mementos.
