NATIONAL FARMER’S DAY

To a farmer dirt is not a waste, it is wealth

Farmers are the backbone of society. They are the ones who work 365 days round the clock to ensure food for us.

Our nation observes National Farmer Day or Kisan Diwas every year on 23^rd December. The day is celebrated in the memory of India's fifth Prime Minister Chaudhary Chiron Singh. He was known to be the leader of farmers who introduced many policies to improve the lives of the Indian farmer.

Our students with a view to honour the spine of India, observed this day through various activities. Some dressed like farmers and made sketches of their dream fields, some used grains spices and showed their creatively on the canvas.
